My daughter plays competitive basketball for a 6th grade travel team. She practices three times a week with games and tournaments most weekends during the fall, winter, and early spring. This requires her to have a set of shoes that can handle the grind. The Giannis Immortality 4 has exceeded expectations. There are no signs of wear after several weeks of use and she was able to break them in immediately.

On the court, the shoes offer important stability. My daughter has rolled her ankles numerous times while playing but it has yet to happen with this product. She does not like high tops but these offer a mid-rise support that is perfect.

Another important component to the shoe is its relatively wider base that supports lateral movement. This is crucial when conducting dribbling drills or attempting to break a full court press that require quick cuts. I notice she is able to easily change directions in tight spaces.

Traction is another selling point for these shoes. My daughter’s team practices at a local elementary school where simple court maintenance like sweeping is not always a priority. She has commented numerous times that she does not slip and slide as much as other teammates or even compared to former shoes. I was honestly surprised she observed something like this.

My daughter refuses to wear these shoes off the court; however, she acknowledges that they can easily be styled with her outfits to school. This is quite the compliment coming from a middle schooler that is obsessed with fashion. She said she would pair them with oversized sweatshirts and jeans or her Nike Pro pants. The color scheme makes them extremely versatile for matching.

This Giannis Immortality 4 is a good product at an affordable price point. Our household has definitely spent more on other basketball shoes (Jordan’s, etc.) but we do not notice the significant difference in quality as one might expect. We would definitely recommend this shoe for individuals playing basketball all across the competitiveness scale!

I received the subject shoes and was immediately impressed with the quality and design.

Furthermore, I was excited to give them to my 7-year-old son to test out.
(He and I are both Nike fans, so he was very excited also.)

In addition, the look of the shoe was very desirable. The basic colorway (white/black) design is always a "go-to" colorway when shopping for shoes for my children.

This supports their schools dress code requirement of black shoes/brown shoes as well!

Some specific features that were very much appreciated.
1) the faux laces that are supported by a Velcro latch. This has been an amazing addition, I no longer have to repeatedly tie his shoes throughout the course of the day. This has given him a greater sense of independent as well. having laces still on the shoe prevents them from looking to much like "Special Needs" shoes.

2) the base materials themselves are ideal for everyday use, including outdoor in the elements. For example, we had been playing in the street that was dusty. The shoes did a great job staying clean, the material did not absorb and hold dust but was easily blown off!

3)The backwards swoosh was a great addition as well.

4) the use of white thread/piping was a nice detail added touch to bring depth to the shoe vs all black.

Strong performance in diverse arenas is what the versatile Giannis Immortality 4 seeks to prove. Look, not everyone can have a dedicated indoor bball shoe and outdoor court pair, and then one just to hit the everyday going ons. But this pair strives to do it all. Support typically is most needed in that indoor court for clutch games. Looking for ankle control, less chance of rolling, and for many that heel support.

This is the third pair of Giannis we've tried and because it does well indoors, we're saving it for games specifically. Performance was based on feet with less arch leaning toward a more flat footed athlete over a 3 week period. Post game, about 3 hours of hard play + practice, feet aren't feeling tired. Huge plus. We have to talk about the hard black colorway. It makes a player feel that extra energy when your shoes give off this dominant energy. Giannis just knows how to do this. The player on the court is making a statement, wants to feel confident, wants to keep it fresh. On the court you are looking to look and feel your absolute best.

What would make this the perfect shoe? Slightly thicker soles. I don't know about you, but a pair like this isn't made everyday, and I don't want to just toss it because the sole is wearing out. If you want more out of it, and your feet are not as wide or thick as others, swap out the sole for the extra cushion. Compare the performance. You may be fine with the standard.

Even though the Giannis Immortality 4 Basketball shoes have “basketball” in their name they are more than just a basketball shoe. Not only are they comfortable, with the extra padding on the ankles, but they look amazing on. I often gravitated towards them while running errands because of the comfort they provided. From far way the design of the shoe may look simple but once you look at them closely you can see all the details. The checkmarks go a different direction, there are waves on the back of the shoe and who can forget the tongue with its unique design. The stitching on the front of the shoe adds a little flare. The material on the toe cap is a great addition because they help protect your toes from getting wet. I had to test them out on the basketball court and I have to say they held up. My feet were comfortable and didn’t feel hot after the game, sometimes with shoes I don’t get enough breeze on my feet but I didn’t have that problem with these.
