March 11, 2024Great presentation poor gameplay Game looks great, lots of ways to play and the customisation is astounding, you can literally lose hours playing with entrances and movesets etc. Game fails at the basics, controls are over complicated and unresponsive with counter happy ai even on easy. Seriously everytime I try to pick an opponent up off the matt they counter me. Making matches a bit of a slog especially in Showcase mode where the fixed objectives expose these issues even more. You end up just plodding around the ring waiting for the next button prompt no urgency no excitement. Seriously I've tried to play the Hogan, Andre match times now every time I end up turning it off out of boredom. Hogan seems to get bored too as he keeps wandering off and chatting to Heenan instead of focusing on the match lol. Ultimately I just don't feel like I'm in full control making minute to minute gameplay feel like a bit of a chore again even on lower difficulty. Maybe I'll start to enjoy it more if I can get my head around the mechanics but that just raises the question, why should I have to? Shouldn't WWE games be pick up and play?
More of the same, still pretty good.

October 17, 2024If you have liked the last iterations for about the last 4 or 5 years you will like this. It is exactly the same game, right down to the controls. Slightly improved graphics, updated roster, three different "story" modes. Same old character creation suite (unfortunately, i was hoping for improvements there), same roster and game modes. As I said, the CAW section is bland and seems to have been forgotten. What happened to all the slider and options, man. Music/soundtrack.....worse one yet from all the franchise. Seriously, lackluster music by lackluster groups/bands, individuals. They should just stick to a whole bunch of original music or use the wrestler intro music instead. The 2019 version so far has been the best one, especially since you could add your own soundtracks. Also many "micro transactions" to get characters. Sure you can buy the slightly mediocre ones with in game money, but the better ones require actual money to buy them. Its no like the game is cheap to begin with.
On the road to WrestleMania to finish the story…

March 24, 2024Ever since WWE 2K22 was built from the ground up, it was a step in the right direction, while WWE 2K23 stepped further improving core gameplay, here we are now with WWE 2K24! I won’t talk about everything but this is another good game that will keep you playing for 1 year until the next installment. The 2K Showcase mode in my opinion should’ve featured more matches, at least 30, but still enjoyed the 21 matches for what it was. MyFaction mode took a different route which I thought was a good idea by alternating between one on one matches, two on two, and more instead of repetitive 8 person tag team matches. Just started playing MyRise which is my favourite mode and it is what you would expect from the previous 2 games. Overall, if you’ve been a long time fan of wrestling games like me, I highly recommend this game. Speaking of WrestleMania, cheers to 40 years! 🍻
[Rewarded Review] Great Game with lots of Legends & MyGM

March 15, 2024WWE2k24 is awesome. There are lots of wrestlers, including many legends from the attitude and ruthless aggression eras. MYGM has more content than WWE2k23 did, and the MyFaction mode has been improved. There seems to be more evolution cards in MyFaction.
They added ambulance match, casket match, gauntlet match (3 types), and you can throw weapons now.
It is missing a couple wrestlers from 2k23 like Aliyah, Edge, Goldberg, etc. And there are some issues with who your wrestler attacks when in a tag team match.
Overall it is a better game with more content than last year's game.
