Rajesh Hamal to host agriculture reality show

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 2: The agricultural game reality show, RAW (Revolutionary Agriculture War) is all set to premiere soon, merging the realms of Agriculture and Entertainment, creating a unique genre known as ‘Agritainment’.

Organised by E Square, the reality show seeks to shed light on the pivotal roles of agriculture, entrepreneurship and climate change.

 Two distinct categories of participants will feature in this show including professional farmers, those actively engaged in various agricultural endeavours, and agricultural technicians, individuals holding a B.Sc. in Agriculture or a related field.

Concepted and directed by  Shailesh Kandel Kshetri,  the show will be hosted by actor Rajesh Hamal. 

Having portrayed a farmer in numerous films over his illustrious three-decade acting career, Hamal expressed his privilege to now play a part in a genuine agricultural revolution. He articulated his aspirations for the show, hoping it would reshape public perceptions of farming and agriculture. 

Highlighting the show's collaborative spirit, Shailesh Kandel Chhetri emphasised that the contest was not about farmers versus technicians but about showcasing individual excellence within each group. 

The show promises to traverse various facets of agriculture, ranging from agro-tourism, agroforestry, the flower trade, fruit farming, herb cultivation, grain and cash crops, to livestock farming.
